Our History

God provided the path to open NJUCA

United Christian Academy opened their doors in September 2003 with 27 students and four full time staff members.  The students and the staff during that first year prayed for the future of the school and for a new building.  God answered their prayers in an unexpected manner when the US Postal Service “mis”delivered a piece of mail.

Dr. Shin, the owner of a beautiful 43 acre retreat facility, was the recipient of the errant mail.  When he received the mail, he visited United Christian Academy.  He asked the fledgling school to partner with him in fulfilling his vision of beginning a Christian school and Leadership institute.  He offered to provide housing for their academics at his Cream Ridge facility – including dormitories.  The newly united school opportunity was renamed New Jersey United Christian Academy in September 2004.

Since that miraculous start, New Jersey United Christian Academy has been offering a strong academic program, establishing Biblical Christian values, and training students to become leaders. In our second decade, NJUCA continues to actively inspire students to live vivid Christian lives while bringing together local and international communities of Believers with a unique focus on teen Christian leadership.

Please join us in praying that the Lord continues to use this ministry, a Christian school with an emphasis on teen leadership development, faithfully practicing Christian values and emphasizing academic excellence to reach a world-wide audience for His glory.

Doctrinal Basis

NJUCA has adopted the following as defining its doctrinal basis:

  • We believe that there is one sovereign God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. (1 Timothy 1:17)

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, the only infallible, authoritative Word of God for faith and practice. (2 Timothy 3:16)

  • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory. (Hebrews 1:1-3)

  • We believe and profess that salvation is a gift of God's grace received through personal faith in Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 2:8)

  • We believe in the present indwelling ministry of the Holy Spirit, whose intercessory and sanctifying work continually renews the Christian and enables him to live a godly life in conformity with the Scripture. (John 14:15-17)

  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ as evidenced in the local body of Christ that is the church. (Hebrews 10: 22-25)

Our Philosophy

We envision a school that â€‹works with the home and the church to raise up teens who

  • recognize and utilize their God-given gifts

  • are strong Christian leaders impacting their school, communities and culture

  • pursue the career to which God has called them, standing out among society as a testimony to God's perfect plan

  • defend the faith and spread the awesome news of Jesus Christ to their generation

Mission Statement

To provide a solid academic program, rooted in Biblical truth, with an emphasis on developing Christian leadership among students.
